Oldham Athletic AFC have confirmed that a 27-year-old male has received a two-year banning order from the club following his actions in Tuesday night’s League One fixture.
The supporter encroached onto the field of play during the 34th minute of the game following the decision to award a penalty to Rochdale.
The supporter has admitted his shame and has apologised to Oldham, however we and Oldham Athletic condemn his actions in the strongest possible terms.
Rochdale Football Club would like to thank Oldham for acting swiftly and for working closely with us on this matter.
