PDP Lead Coach Chris Brown spoke to iFollow after his side’s 4-0 win over Port Vale in the EFL Youth Alliance League.
“The lads were absolutely superb. Some of the football we played, the tempo we played at, the quality in the final third, playing out from the goalkeeper and playing through the thirds was superb.
“There was some really big performances. Dan [Adshead] and Aaron [Morley] coming back into the team were superb. Joe Renner was superb. There was a big change from Isaac [Ward] in his application and how he defended.
“Overall there was more 7/8 out of 10 performances, and I’m really pleased we’ve got ourselves another good result. But we’ve got to build on it.
“It was very important to start the game well. If you score first you get that momentum in the game.
“We were positive from the beginning. It’s what we want from the lads. Today they set their minds to it and we got a really good performance, so I’m pleased for them.”
