Calvin Andrew Visits Tonacliffe Primary School

20 September 2017

Calvin Andrew delighted students at Tonacliffe Primary School in Whitworth, when he visited on Tuesday afternoon.

Andrew held a question and answer session with the children, before signing hundreds of autographs.

He was then in the classroom, helping children understand about the FA’s Respect campaign.

Dale In The Community Sports Trust have been at Tonacliffe Primary School all week, delivering classroom sessions on the Respect campaign, as well as football coaching sessions to the students.

Head of Community Keith Hicks praised Andrew’s community efforts: “Calvin is a great community ambassador for the Football Club.

“It’s vitally important that the Club is engaged in the community, and he is a shining example of that.

“The FA’s Respect campaign is huge in helping to ensure a safe, positive environment in which to play the game.

“That’s why it is important for us as a Trust, and for local professional footballers, to be actively involved in the Community and teach children about the Respect campaign.”
