PDP Lead Coach Chris Brown spoke to iFollow after the Youth Team’s 3-0 win over Scunthorpe United.

All the goals came in the first half, with two from Fabio Tavares and one from Neil Kuemo.

“The performance in the first half, and throughout the game, was really good. We controlled the tempo and were really difficult to break down.

“We worked them out quote early on, and it was always us on the ball in the first half. The second half wasn’t the greatest, because the momentum never really got going for both teams.

“Brad made a really good save in the second half, but I thought we controlled it and never really looked like we were going to concede a goal. It was a difficult pitch and not really the time to play. It was the time to try and get in behind, and we did that.

“All three goals were very good finishes. The second goal was a really good team goal, with Luke Matheson, Dan Adshead and Lewis Bradley all involved. It was a really flowing move which we’ve been working on in training.

“On a difficult pitch we had to keep our composure and play at speed which is what we did. It’s really positive that we’re actually making strides and learning.”
