Loan Update: Keith Kearney

31 October 2017

Second-year scholar Keith Kearney has returned to the Club after completing his work experience loan at Radcliffe FC.

Kearney joined the Evo-Stik North side at the end of September, and made seven appearances for Radcliffe during his time at the Club.

He was inolved at the weekend, as Radcliffe drew 3-3 with Skelmersdale United in the Evo-Stik North.

Former Rochdale AFC Academy product James Hooper opened the scoring for Radcliffe early on, and despite being pegged back, The Boro regained the lead with 15 minutes remaining.

However, Skelmersdale turned the game on its head with four minutes left, only for Radcliffe to earn a point in injury time.

During his time with The Boro, Kearney played under former Preston North End and Manchester City striker Jon Macken, who is manager of Radcliffe, assisted by Frank Sinclair, the former Chelsea and Leicester City defender.
