Done turned home Bradden Inman’s effort from a yard out, and praised the on loan forward for the assist.
“Bradden has done brilliantly - he’s done that numerous times already this season,” said Done.
“He’s brilliant at going past players, he’s so quick. I think it [Inman's shot] was going wide so I'll always gamble to make sure it goes in! It was good to get the goal and the three points.”
And Done says the players have taken confidence out of the win.
“It was a right battle, but I think that’s what we needed really. Today we came in at half-time leading again, and it was a good way to win. It gives us some confidence.
“To win in the manner that we did today, where the conditions were really tough, it feels like a deserved win, especially after the last two or three performances.
“We’ve taken confidence out of today.”
The victory over the Gas rounded off a positive week for Dale, with the side having secured five points from a possible nine, and Done hopes the side can build on that.
“We had a lot of injuries and illness at the start of the season but we’ve finally had a settled side over these last few games.
“Hopefully today is the kickstart that we need to help us start climbing the table.
“We haven’t been beaten in three games this week, so we can take the positives from that.”
