Rochdale Mayor Ian Duckworth attended ‘Crucial Crew’ at the Crown Oil Arena on Thursday.
Rochdale AFC has been delighted to host ‘Crucial Crew’ over the last three weeks, an event, hosted by Child Safety Media Ltd, that raises the awareness of safety issues to primary school children.
The Mayor, along with Councillor Janet Emsley, spoke with students of St Michael’s C of E Primary School, Bamford, about their day and the importance of the various sessions they were in.
Some of the organisations taking part in the event include St John Ambulance, Greater Manchester Police, Rochdale Borough Homes, Travelsafe, R.N.L.I., British Transport Police and Rochdale Safeguarding Board.
Over 1,000 kids have attended the event at the football club, each of which has received information on the fantastic Junior Dale Season Ticket initiative.
