Man Of The Match Bradden Inman On Bromley Victory

5 November 2017

Bradden Inman scored twice as Rochdale sealed their spot in the Emirates FA Cup second round with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bromley.

Inman also picked up the Man Of The Match award, and he told iFollow he was pleased with Dale’s professional performance.

“We prepared like it was a league game,” said Inman.

“They did have a good threat in their team with the wingers but I thought we started well and pushed them back. The early goal helped us for the whole match.

“Like the Gaffer said, we need to do that against league teams now as well.

“We’ve perhaps been a little bit unlucky in previous matches, but you can tell that has given us a bit of a boost.”

Inman broke the deadlock inside the opening ten minutes and went on to grab his second, which was Dale’s third, shortly after the break.

His first was the product of link-up play with Kgosi Ntlhe and a sublime piece of skill to take the ball past a Bromley defender.

“It was good play from Kgosi to play me through and it was just instinct [to take the defender on], so I was happy with the goal.”

Inman and the rest of the Dale squad are now looking forward to the second round draw, which will take place on Monday at 7pm, live on BBC Two and BT Sport.

“I live with Kgosi so we’ll definitely be watching it! I would like a home tie but other than that I’m not fussed.

“The furthest I've got during my career so far was the fourth round, so it’s something I’d like to do here as well.

“[The FA Cup] is always good because you get that chance for a golden tie, if you like.

“You can get a Premier League club [in the third round] and it’s what everyone dreams of - getting the chance to play against that sort of opposition.
