Rochdale Football Club was delighted to welcome youngsters from Spotland Primary School to the Crown Oil Arena last week.
The Year 1 pupils spent the morning at the ground with their teachers, as part of a school project.
The five and six-year-olds are learning about the local area in class, and with the Crown Oil Arena less than a mile away from the school, teachers there were keen to bring the kids to the stadium to give them an insight into the workings of the town’s only professional football club, which is right on their doorstep.
Dale in the Community Trust coaches took them on an all access grand tour of the ground. Afterwards, coaches delivered a fun football session on the club’s 5-a-side pitch.
