The EFL has confirmed the ball numbers ahead of Friday evening’s Checkatrade Trophy second round draw.
Rochdale have been placed in Draw A and have been assigned ball number 3.
After finishing top of Northern Group C, Dale will be at home in round two of the competition and will be drawn against either Shrewsbury, Mansfield Town, Doncaster Rovers or the runner up from Group F.
Group F’s Bradford City, Rotherham United, Chesterfield and Manchester City U21 all still have a chance of finishing second, but the outcome won't be known until November 29th, when the Spireites take on City.
The draw for Round Two of the Checkatrade Trophy takes place at Wembley Stadium ahead of the England v Germany international friendly on Friday 10 November.
