Rochdale have been drawn at home to fellow League One side Doncaster Rovers in Round Two of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Confirmed fixture details will be announced in due course.
Dale progressed to the knockout stages of the competition after winning Northern Group C, while Rovers finished runners up to Scunthorpe United in Northern Group H.
The two teams have already met at the Crown Oil Arena this season, with Keith Hill’s side scoring two goals in stoppage time to earn three points from a 2-1 win.
