Midfielder Matty Lund says the players must take the spirit shown in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Sheffield United into Dale's 13 remaining games of the season.
“You go 2-0 down and it’s a long way back against the top of the league but we fought hard, we worked hard and we gave everything,” said Lund.
“I’m disappointed we didn’t win because we had chances to win the game, but overall we’re happy to get a point.
“We’ve got a couple of players back from injury and we’ve got to push on now.
“We’ve got games in hand so we’ve got to step up and get the three points.
“There are a lot of games still to play and we’ve got to show the sort of spirit we showed today.”
Saturday marked Lund’s first appearance since January and the 26-year-old admitted he was pleased to be back in action after recovering from knee surgery.
“It’s good to be back.
“I’ve been out for quite a few weeks so I was shattered at the end, but I wanted to play 90 minutes. All I want to do is play football.
“It was good to be out there with the lads again because it has been hard to watch. I don’t enjoy watching games.”
