We’re Very Close To Getting The Bucket Half Filled - Keith Hill

6 March 2017

Manager Keith Hill was delighted to welcome Steven Davies and Matty Lund back into the squad on Saturday.

The duo had been side lined since January with knee injuries and they made an instant impact on their return, with the pair netting in the 3-3 draw with Sheffield United.

Hill commented: “It was great to get Steve back in to the starting eleven and to get 90 minutes out of Matty Lund, who has only been on the training pitch for two days.

“Looking at the positives, Joe Rafferty is back for the MK Dons game and Niall Canavan is getting closer.

“I’m trying to fill the bucket all the time and I feel as though we’re very close to getting the bucket half filled. We’re trying to deal with situations well, as we plan for the remaining 13 fixtures.”

Calvin Andrew missed Saturday’s game through illness. He had been due to play against the Blades but withdrew from the squad after coming down with tonsillitis. Meanwhile, Keith Keane, who was forced off in the second half, has a suspected hamstring problem.
