Walsall End Youth Team's Unbeaten League Run

Walsall came from behind to end the Youth Team’s four game unbeaten league run in 2017.


The Saddlers were 3-1 winners over Rochdale at the Birmingham FA’s Headquarters on Saturday.

The match was the first of a double header of games between the two side’s, with Walsall set to make the trip to Radcliffe Borough on Tuesday for the return fixture.

Dale took a 1-0 lead into the break after Neil Kuemo headed home from a corner in the 16th minute. 

Walsall equalised shortly before the hour mark after a defensive mix-up allowed the striker to slot past Rochdale goalkeeper Bradley Wade.

In the 83rd minute, an excellent finish into the top corner of the net gave the Saddlers the advantage before they wrapped up the points a minute from time from the penalty spot.
