The Dale Supporters Trust Held Its Annual Exiles Day On Saturday

7 March 2017

The Dale Supporters Trust held its annual Exiles Day on Saturday.

Saturday saw 35 exiles, who are members of the Dale Trust, make the trip from all over the UK and further afield for Rochdale’s League One fixture against Sheffield United.

The event was hosted by the club and 35 fans were treated to first-class hospitality.

The Dale Trust said: “Our club did us proud with executive box treatment and a buffet provided by the cracking Quirky Catering Company folks.

“It was a pleasure to host a couple from Scotland who had never been to Rochdale before. They started supporting the club in the good old 70s when wins and success where hard to come by. They followed our exploits for over 30 years and on Saturday made the game. They had a great experience meeting many of the players they had only seen on the telly!

“Jack the Kitman played his part by getting a signed shirt for the raffle, the Trusts only funds from the event. Chrissie from Bristol was the lucky winner and our thanks must go to the Exiles for digging deep and making £125 for the Trust.

“Our thanks once again to Frances and everyone at the club for making this special day happen. We’re already looking forward to next year!”
