Rochdale Football Club would like to wish Jack Redshaw a speedy recover.
The on loan forward has been suffering from shin splints and underwent surgery this week.
It’s unlikely he’ll play again this season.
Manager Keith Hill commented: “Jack’s well-being is really important to us and that’s why we made the decision that the op was right route to go down.
“We could probably have asked him to play on through the pain, but I believe shin splints, at times, can bring horrendous pain, and Jack’s welfare has got to come first.
“He lives locally so if he needs to do rehab here, then we’re happy to help with that, while consulting with Blackpool.”
