Rochdale AFC are delighted to announce that midfielder Jordan Williams has joined the club from Barrow.
Keith Hill has made his second signing of the summer with the acquisition of winger Jordan Williams from Barrow on a 2 year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has risen through the ranks of non-league football recently, starting his career at Burscough before moving on to Northwich Victoria. His talents were spotted by Barrow Manager Paul Cox who signed Jordan for Barrow in January 2016, catching the eye with 16 goals and several assists in just over 60 appearances for the Vanarama National League side. Jordan has also been involved in the England C team during his time at Barrow.
Dale fans may recognise Jordan from our FA Cup win over Barrow in January this year.
A delighted Keith Hill gave his thoughts on today's signing:
"He's a great acquisition by the football club. He's someone we've been pursuing since the end of the season and it's just great to get the deal done.
He will be a great privilege to work with, he's very honest, grounded, determined and hungry. He has great ability, his assists and goal scoring for Barrow this season has been superb, and he was our number one target to recruit in those wide areas of the pitch where we've lost Nataniel Mendez-Laing."
Welcome to Rochdale, Jordan!
