The group stage fixtures for the 2017/18 EFL Youth Alliance Cup have been announced.
Dale have been drawn in Group 6, which is one of three groups to hold five teams.
Chris Brown's side will face Port Vale, Scunthorpe United, Doncaster Rovers and Bury.
Dale reached the Northern Final of the competition last season.
The full fixtures are as follows:
Saturday 26th August - Port Vale (a), 11am kick-off;
Saturday 7th October - Scunthorpe United (h), 11am kick-off;
Saturday 4th November - Doncaster Rovers (a), 11am kick-off;
Saturday 9th December - Bury (h), 11am kick-off.
