Dale welcome Barnsley to the Crown Oil Arena on Tuesday night (7.30pm kick-off) for our second home pre-season friendly.

Keith Hill’s side beat Barnsley’s fellow Championship side Middlesbrough on Saturday, with an own goal and an Ollie Rathbone strike securing a 2-0 win.

ADMISSION PRICES

Adults - £10

Junior (16 and under) - £5

The Main Stand will be open for home supporters, whilst visiting fans will be accommodated in the Willbutts Lane Stand.

Supporters can pay cash at the turnstiles.

PREVIOUS MEETING AT THE CROWN OIL ARENA

Barnsley’s last visit to the Crown Oil Arena came in August 2015, when Dale ran out convincing 3-0 winners.

Calvin Andrew got Dale off to the perfect start with a powerful effort from the edge of the area, before Peter Vincenti doubled the lead before the break with a header.

Ian Henderson rounded off the scoring midway through the second half with a cool finish, to send Dale into the early season playoff places.

PRE-MATCH

The Ratcliffe Bars will be open from 5pm, located on the Club’s car park behind the Main Stand. Both home and away supporters are welcome.

The Bars will be open 15 minutes before half-time via the rear gate of the Main Stand. Please note, this is now a NO SMOKING ZONE during the half-time period.

Only the Dale Bar will be open after full-time for the pre-season friendlies.

MATCHDAY PROGRAMME

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice Of Spotland – is back for the home friendly match against Barnsley.

The reduced 16-page programme covers both home friendlies, in which Jim McNulty looks at pre-season so far and previews the forthcoming season.

Our visitors get two pages of coverage, there is a preview on the first games of the new season, and much more.

It will be on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced at just £2.
