Manager Keith Hill looks ahead to Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie v Barrow…
“I’m looking forward to the atmosphere. I’m also looking forward to pitting our wits in the FA Cup against a team who are very, very successful at this moment in time.
“We’re really focused in on it. It takes us away from what has been a hectic league schedule, and the players, the staff and I are all really looking forward to it.”
Before last weekend’s defeat to Gateshead, Barrow had been on a 23 game unbeaten run and Hill is expecting a difficult encounter against the National League side.
“They’re in great form, they’re well managed and they’re well drilled on what they do, but we’ve got our game plan.
“We’ve got to maintain standards of energy and of enthusiasm, and I think we will have to be very street wise on Saturday. I’m looking forward to seeing how our young players respond to this type of game.
“Each opposition creates a different problem and I don’t think we’ll have come up against the type of problems this season that we’ll face on Saturday. I’ve got to make the players well aware about the problems that we might face.”
