Manager Keith Hill looks ahead to Monday’s League One fixture v Walsall at the Banks’s Stadium, Dale’s first of 2017…
“We’ve got to get rest into the players,” said Hill as he spoke after Friday night’s win over Shrewsbury Town.
“I’ll probably rest a few up because we know which way we need to play against Walsall.
“We’re looking forward to the challenge. They’re a good side but I think we’re in good form and there’s a lot of confidence in the dressing room at this moment in time. We’ve won 13 games so far this season and we’ve got 42 points, so I’m relatively pleased.
“Football can turn on its head on a decision or on a micro mistake, and I’m very aware of that and how your fortunes can change in football.
“At this moment in time I’m really pleased with what we’re doing and we take every game very seriously. The opposition are fully respected in every game and we’re just trying to do our honest best in every game that we play.”
