Manager Keith Hill has told Dale PlayerHD that he’s “excited” about giving David Owusu his first team debut.
The 18-year-old signed a deal until the end of the season on January 1st, and Hill believes he’s a good addition to the squad.
“David brings pace, hunger and unpredictability [to the side],” said Hill. “I think he’s a really good signing for us for the remainder of the season when we might need to change it slightly.
“We’ve been nurturing him on the training pitch for three months. When he arrived, he couldn’t sign and play, but now he’s ready to play.
“We feel as though we’ve done good work with him on the training pitch and I’m really excited about the proposition of throwing him in at some point in the remaining 21 games of the season. I think he will scare the life out of opposition defenders.”
