The shortlist
Ian Henderson - ROCHDALE v Chesterfield – 26th December: A prime example of vision and skill coming together. Henderson knew exactly what to do with Oliver Rathbone’s pass – curl it languidly first time into the top corner.
Gwion Edwards – PETERBOROUGH UNITED v Chesterfield – 10th December: Edwards set off at pace as the ball dropped to him near the touchline. Dribbling past defenders, he then unleashed an angled drive which arrowed into the net.
Sammy Ameobi – BOLTON WANDERERS v Gillingham – 12th December: Picking the ball up in midfield, Ameobi strode forward, then stepped inside on the edge of the box and clipped an unstoppable shot into the far corner.
The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com and will be announced on January 13th.
The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager David Tweed and EFL Head of Marketing Communications Andy Dodd.
