TVOS Preview: A New-Look Matchday Programme For 2017/18

10 August 2017

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s League One fixture against Scunthorpe United.

The programme is once again a 76-page issue this season, containing plenty of reading to keep fans entertained and informed before, during and after the match.

Our new-look programme starts with a front cover image of midfielder Callum Camps, who hit the winning goal in the Carabao Cup at Mansfield on Tuesday.

There is a centre spread poster of Callum for our younger supporters to collect, as well as a look at how his personal likes compare to those of a Dale midfielder from the past in our new ‘Decades Apart’ feature.

We have a completely new-look visitors section, with contributors Steve Ashworth, David Chaffey and Dean Smith each bringing us a different aspect of Scunthorpe United’s past and present.

Several other new contributors have jumped on board, including Bray-based supporter Brian Quigley, who brings us his views from across the Irish Sea.

We also have an interview with a fan of our visitors conducted by supporter Toby Wright.

Naturally, many of the old favourites have been retained, but given a makeover to fit in with the programme’s new design.

Our regular historical pages – ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ - are back, as are the opinionated Scrutator and Jason Birch’s look at what’s happening in League One.

Action photos appear from the games against Chorley and Middlesbrough, while Traveller’s Tales returns with a report on the trip to AFC Fylde.

Visitors Scunthorpe United get nine pages of coverage, which includes a quiz-based article on a previous meeting between the clubs.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
