Shrewsbury Town v Rochdale: Sky Bet League One – Saturday 19th August, 3pm Kick-Off

Rochdale travel to the Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday to take on Shrewsbury Town.

Dale go into the match on the back of last weekend’s draw with Scunthorpe United. Steven Davies’ second half header earned Dale’s first point of the 2017/18 season.

Shrewsbury have a 100% record in Sky Bet League One so far, having beaten both Northampton Town and AFC Wimbledon, respectively, 1-0 in their opening two matches.

LAST SEASON

Both sides won their respective home games last season. A 1-0 win in April gave Shrewsbury a huge boost in their battle against the drop, and also exacted revenge for a 2-1 defeat at the Crown Oil Arena in December 2016.

First-half goals from Ian Henderson and Steven Davies secured the three points from the festive fixture, and you can watch the highlights from that game below.

BETTING PREVIEW

Dale are priced at 7/4 with Sky Bet to record a win over Shrewsbury Town on Saturday. Click HERE for more match odds.

GETTING THERE

Fans heading to Shrewsbury should note that V Fest is taking place nearby, meaning routes in and around the M6 have the potential to be much busier than usual.

An alternative route is to take the M56 towards Chester, before joining the M53 and A483, then the A5 to Shrewsbury.

PARKING

Please note there is no parking available to supporters at the stadium. However, there are a number of car parks situated a short walk away. The Shrews suggest Wyevale, which is a 5 minute walk from the ground and is priced at £5. The site operates on a first come, first served basis.
