Rochdale Football Club is pleased to announce that the Crown Oil Arena’s family section has been renamed as the ‘Joshua McCormack Family Enclosure’ in loving memory of our little friend, Joshua McCormack.
Everyone at the club was deeply saddened when the five-year-old passed away earlier this year after a brave battle with a brain tumour.
He has never left our thoughts and we hope this gesture will help keep his legacy alive.
Frances Fielding, the club’s Sales and Marketing Manager, commented: “Joshua made a massive impact on us all during the short time that we knew him and he will forever be in our hearts.
“It had always been our intention to introduce a permanent memorial to our number 55 and we believe this is a fitting tribute.”
The ‘Joshua McCormack Family Enclosure’ is located within the Pearl Street Stand.
