Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month Award for March.
He’s up against Bolton Wanderers’ Filipe Morais, Alex Cairns from Fleetwood Town and Sheffield United’s Kieron Freeman.
Sky Bet say: “Rochdale’s goal rush owed much to the pace and trickery of Mendez-Laing whose willingness to take on defenders provokes panic and opens up space for others in equal measure. He also chipped in with four goals himself.”
Mendez-Laing’s four goals came in the games against Sheffield United, MK Dons, Gillingham and Millwall. He’s now in double figures for the season, having netted ten.
The winner will be announced on Friday 7th April. The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
