Nathaniel Mendez-Laing’s strike against Gillingham has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month Award for March.
Voting is open from 6am today (Friday 7th April) and will close on Tuesday 11th March at 6pm.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing – ROCHDALE v Gillingham – 18th March
Neat awareness from Mendez-Laing to skip inside a defender was followed by a fiercely struck angled left-foot shot that flew past Gillingham keeper Stuart Nelson.
Chris Maguire – OXFORD UNITED v Bolton Wanderers – 21st March
Central to the goal, Maguire curled home a free-kick so perfectly into the space where crossbar and post meet that Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick didn’t even move.
Daniel Lafferty – Rochdale v SHEFFIELD UNITED – 4th March
Lafferty watched the ball drop to him 35 yards out following a corner and struck it unerringly into the bottom corner with the outside of his left boot. Unstoppable.
The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com.
The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.
