Calvin Andrew has received the PFA Community Champion Award.
He was presented with this much deserved accolade at the club’s last home game to celebrate the work he does on behalf of the Dale Sports Trust in the local community.
Andrew regularly visits schools as part of the Trust’s schools programme and is always happy to attend community events, such as the signing session in Rochdale town centre, which was held just before Christmas.
John Hudson, PFA Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, said: "The PFA believes that players who make that extra effort and contribution during the season should be recognised for their support and involvement in the local community.
“This award will hopefully raise awareness of the great importance many of the PFA members attach to their roles off the pitch.
“We would like to offer our congratulations to Calvin, this season’s recipient of the 2016/17 Community Champion Award.”
