Bradford City Fan Buys Dale Season Tickets In Memory Of Late Uncle

7 April 2017

As we approach the end of week two of our #WinnersTogether campaign, sales remain steady, with over 600 Season Ticket Deposits sold so far.

Many existing Season Ticket holders have booked their seat for the 2017/18 season, while others have bought for the first time, and some generous souls have bought a Season Ticket to donate to a good cause or a charity.

Today, one kind gentleman, who’d prefer to avoid the limelight, has put his hand his pocket to pay for three season tickets – one adult and two junior tickets – all in memory of his late Uncle.

The Bradford City supporter, who has already secured his seat at Valley Parade next season by backing the Bantams’ #TeamTwenty campaign, was keen to back our fantastic offer too!

He said: “I’m a Bradford fan, and along with my friends and family, I’ve already renewed for next season.

“I was intrigued to read about the Rochdale directors and other fans donating tickets to the club for those who can’t afford to attend games or who can’t cobble together the money for a Season Ticket, and it got me thinking.

“Having family in Littleborough, I wanted to buy one in memory of my late Uncle. He was a Bradford City fan but had lived in Rochdale most of his life - he kept a close eye on Dale and always wished them success. So when I saw Rochdale doing this wonderful pledge idea, it made sense for me to support them as well.

“I’ll be giving the tickets to my family members in Littleborough, so they can support both teams.”

Rochdale Football Club would like to thank him for his generosity!
