After qualifying for the Premier League Floodlit Cup earlier this month, Dale’s under 15s start their group stage campaign this week.
The youngsters have been drawn in Group C alongside Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Manchester United, and face City on Wednesday evening.
The game is being played at the City Academy and is not open to the public.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday 28th September – Manchester City v Rochdale
Wednesday 19th October – Rochdale v Manchester United – 7pm at the Cliff
Wednesday 16th November – Blackburn Rovers v Rochdale
Wednesday 7th December – Rochdale v Manchester City – 6.30pm at Hyde United
Wednesday 11th January – Manchester United v Rochdale
Wednesday 25th January – Rochdale v Blackburn Rovers – 6.30pm at Hyde United
The home games will be open to spectators, so pencil the dates in your diary and come along and give your support to the Dale stars of the future!
Category 2 and Category 3 sides were invited to qualify for this season’s Premier League Floodlit Cup, which was launched last year for Category 1 teams.
Rochdale were one of just eight Cat 2 and Cat 3 clubs from across the country to secure qualification for the elite competition.
Manchester City won last year’s competition.
