Rochdale AFC Academy has announced it is set to launch a brand new Goalkeeping Academy for the 2016-17 season.
It will officially launch on October 3rd 2016.
Initially aimed at Under 8s to Under 12s, the goalkeeping specific sessions will be managed by the Academy’s Head of Goalkeeping, Ryan Ball, who is a UEFA B licensed goalkeeping coach, with the aim of providing technical coaching to prospective young goalkeepers from around Rochdale and the local area. Sessions will focus on handling, distribution, crossing, reactions and positioning.
The Goalkeeping Academy offers young footballers the unique chance to train in a professional environment, with the added opportunity of potential trials at the Rochdale AFC Academy.
The sessions are £8.00 each week. However, if you block book onto the course for eight weeks the price is £6.50 per session.
The new Goalkeeping Academy will operate on a Monday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at The Soccer Factory, Rochdale, on the indoor 3G training pitch.
