Dale To Mark FA Girls' Football Week This Saturday

14 October 2016

Rochdale Football Club will welcome players from the club’s girls’ teams to the Crown Oil Arena this Saturday.

The 80 girls, who make up six squads, will parade around the pitch at half-time, so be sure to give them a big round of applause!

In addition, our Rochdale AFC Ladies Under 10s side will face Bury in the half-time challenge match.

Saturday’s activities have been organised to coincide with FA Girls’ Football Week.

FA Girls’ Football Week is a national campaign to raise the profile of female football and to support the FA’s aim to double the number of females playing football by 2020.

In April the first FA Girls' Football Week of 2016 saw more than 52,000 girls, double the original target of participants, taking part in sessions delivered in schools, clubs, community groups and wider organisations across the country.
