The Scoreline Reflects The Performance - Keith Hill

23 November 2016

Here’s what Manager Keith Hill had to say following his side’s 4-0 win over Walsall at the Crown Oil Arena…

“I’m happy with the way that we played and I’m really pleased with the performance,” he told the media in his post-match interview.

“The score line reflects the performance. We’re in good form at home, there’s no question about that. I believe we’ve got a talented squad who work hard and that’s all I expect.”

He continued: “The players are working hard. Every manager’s success is a result of the players buying into the plan and buying into what’s required. It’s obvious to suggest that they need to be winners because they do, but actually knowing how to win is totally different. We’re trying to give them the knowledge to win games, because success is about winning football matches.”

After three successive home games – Maidstone United, Swindon Town and Walsall, Dale make the long trip to Gillingham on Saturday.

“Anything can happen at any moment in a game. It’s important that we treat every game with an aim to be as successful as we possibly can. We’ve got to try and perform to high standards, and if we do, then we’ll be successful.”
