Manager Keith Hill has told Dale PlayerHD that he is really pleased to have secured the services of Calvin Andrew for another season.
The forward, who has been at the club since the summer of 2014, put pen to paper on a new one-year-deal earlier this month, less than 24-hours after the 2015-16 campaign had come to its conclusion.
Hill believes Andrew is an asset to the football club, both on and off the pitch.
“It’s absolutely superb. I’m really pleased,” said Hill.
“It has been magnificent that he wants to stay. We struck a deal with him to stay and he was quick to sign it.
“He has been a manager’s player in the changing room but a player’s player as well. He lends his experience to the younger players and is a great influence.
“Equally so, he has got to drive himself to be a permanent fixture on the starting eleven team-sheet.
“I’m pleased for him and I’m pleased for the football club that we’ve managed secure his services.”
