Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Josh Lillis has extended his stay at Spotland after signing a new contract.
Lillis, who was out of contract this summer, has put pen to paper on a two-year-deal, keeping him contracted to the club until 2018.
The 28-year-old has been at the club on a permanent basis since 2012, after two separate successful loan spells at Spotland earlier in his career.
He was named as the 2015-16 Supporters Player of the Season after a memorable campaign in goal.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a new two-year-deal,” said Lillis.
“It didn’t take me long at all to re-sign. I wanted to get it sorted early.
“The club has been great to me ever since day one, so it’s good to re-pay the club and sign for another two years.
“I’ve got a little girl on the way, who’ll be born at the end of July, so we [Josh and his family] are really pleased about that. Family are the priority for me now and we’ve found a home here."
