Vacancy: Professional Development Phase Coach / Head of Coaching

Salary & Hours: £20,000.00 to £23,000.00 pa depending on experience. Hours to be agreed at interview.
Rochdale AFC Academy are looking to recruit a combined Academy Professional Development Phase Coach / Head of Coaching to be responsible for the management and organisation of player development at the Professional Development Phase and to oversee academy Coaching Programmes throughout the Academy.
• A member of the Academy Management Team
• To support and Develop, Define & Monitor the Academy Football Philosophy on a day to day basis
• To support and Develop, Define & Monitor the Academy Performance Plan on a day to day basis
• Manage the Transition of Academy Players through each stage of the Performance Pathway
• To support and implement the process of Setting Productivity Targets
• To support the Academy Human Resource process where appropriate
• Attend and support Multi-Disciplinary meetings
• Support Professional Development Phase Coaches meetings
• To support and Develop, Define & Monitor the Professional Development Phase Coaching Programme
• Report on the Academy Phase Transition Strategy
• To support and Monitor the Professional Development Phase Player Review Process
• Manage day-to-day activities of the Under 18s squads
• Complete PMA Coaching and related sections for all players
• Set an example to players and ensure they conform to rules and guidelines
• Meet the required hours per week of “on the grass” football coaching for all players
• Plan, evaluate and record all training sessions on PMA
• Ensure all Planning Links the Club and Academy Football Philosophies
• Plan, communicate and oversee the Age & Phase specific Coaching Programmes
• Oversee the Systems and Processes in relation to the Player Performance Pathway
• Introduce new coaching methodology and initiatives
• Plan and oversee a fit for purpose individually tailored CPD Programme for all Coaching staff
• Oversee the identification and recruitment of players in the Foundation, Youth Development and Professional Development phases.
The PDP Coach / HOC will need: -
• Experience of playing at Football League level or above
• UEFA A Coaching Licence
• FA Advanced Youth Award (or working towards)
• Current FA CRB/DBS clearance, FA Emergency Aid, FA Safeguarding Children and FA Licensed Coaches Club membership
• Desire to work hard and go the extra mile
• Willingness and ability to take responsibility and see tasks through to completion
• Excellent communication skills and organisational skills
