As announced in Tuesday’s Dale PlayerHD interview, Manager Keith Hill will miss Dale’s final game of the season.
Hill has flown out to America to attend to a family matter.
Assistant Manager Chris Beech will be in charge of the side for the match at Colchester United.
“I’ve got a private matter that I have to attend to and it involves me going cross Atlantic to see my Dad," said Hill.
“I don’t want people to speculate with respect to me not being at the game. That’s the only reason why I won’t be there.
“I expect the players, who are fully in the loop along with Chris Beech and the coaching team, to represent Rochdale Football Club and those travelling supporters, of which two or three will be members of my family.
"We’re going there to try and get a positive result.”
