#TeamRochdale Running To Oldham For #TeamEllis

18 March 2016

In true #TeamRochdale style, representatives from across the club are getting together to run/ jog/ walk the 7-miles from Spotland to the SportsDirect.com Park when Rochdale face Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

It's as we continue to add our support to the #TeamEllis campaign.

Representatives from Dale's Community Trust are joining the Youth Team management and players, as well as Dale's Sales and Marketing Manager Frances Fielding and Media Officer Leighanne Coyle, in donning their trainers for the sponsored run/ jog/ walk. Even Desmond the Dragon is getting involved!

You can sponsor us by donating directly to the #TeamEllis GoFundMe page > https://www.gofundme.com/zsrwnfr8 If you are sponsoring us, make sure to leave a message so we can track how much money has been raised.

You can also drop money into the club.

Want to join us? It's more the merrier! We're leaving Spotland at 12noon and heading to Rochdale Town Centre, where we'll take a pit stop at the Flying Horse. We'll then head up the cobbles and onto Oldham Road, where we'll stop at the Summit Inn, before continuing on to the SportsDirect.com Park.

If you want to join us, let us know in advance. Tweet us, Facebook us or email leighanne.coyle@rochdaleafc.co.uk

Ellis, a former Dale Academy player, who is 17-years-old, suffered serious neck and spinal injuries last month, following a freak accident while playing football. Ellis has a long journey in front of him as he continues the fight to walk again, and his family and friends are raising money to aid his road to recovery.
