Helping To Keep Rochdale Minds Healthy

7 January 2016

A team of representatives from Healthy Minds Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale will be at Saturday’s game v Chesterfield.

They’ll be giving out information and will be available for an informal chat about mental health issues.

Healthy Minds is a free, confidential NHS service that provides a range of treatment and support options for people struggling to cope with low mood, stress, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, depression and many more of the common mental health problems that up to one in four people will experience at some point in their life time.

The service is delivered by a range of professionals, including therapists and counsellors, with support options including online self-help courses, group workshops and 1-2-1 therapy sessions, depending on individual need.

The service is available to anyone aged 16 or over living in Rochdale, Bury, Oldham, Stockport, Tameside and Glossop.

Patients can self-refer online at www.penninecare.nhs.uk/healthyminds or by calling their local team, contact details can be found on the website.

Referrals can also be made by GPs and other healthcare professionals on a person’s behalf.
