Keith Hill's Post-Match Reaction: Millwall

13 February 2016

Manager Keith Hill spoke to Dale PlayerHD following Saturday’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Millwall at Spotland…

“I feel a lot better this week, even although we’ve been defeated.

“There was a lot of what I like, especially in the first half.

“In the second half, I think the opposition were very good at killing the game off in the manner that they did.

“We found it very difficult to try and break them down and at times like that I think we’ve got to try and go a little bit more direct earlier and quicker.

“But I thought the first half represented good opportunities for us. We had one or two sniffs in the second half but it wasn’t really a game in the second half. They killed the game well.

"The goal itself is a really scruffy goal. And that happens sometimes.

“But like I said, I feel better about the performance today and looking ahead than I did last week because there was a lot of good things today.

“Today we got a lot of what we wanted. I’m disappointed with the result and the manner in which we conceded the goal but other than that we were ok today.”

Calvin Andrew was forced off around the half hour mark after seemingly landing awkwardly after latching onto the end of a delivery.

Hill gave this brief update after the match.

“He has gone to the hospital for an x-ray.

“I think he was causing them problems. He’ll be a miss, a big miss.”
