The Players Are United – Keith Hill

23 December 2016

Manager Keith Hill has praised the spirit of his squad, ahead of the Christmas period.

Almost every member of the squad has been utilised this season, after a spell of injury, illness and suspension.

The group, under Hill’s leadership, have already accumulated 36 points after 22 games, and proudly sit fifth in League One.

And Hill has told Dale PlayerHD that the squad is in a good place.

“I sense the feeling amongst the players that they are united,” said Hill.

“They’re also united behind the philosophy of what we’re trying to achieve. They’re a great group and a great group to work with.

“I think we’ve got one or two more surprises coming through (in terms of young players), which I’m really pleased and excited about.

"As we head into January, it’s silly season. I keep hearing rumours with respect to players at this football club who are being coveted by other football clubs, but I believe that this squad of players should remain together until the end of the season at least.

“I don’t think we’ll be doing any recruitment - I don't see any need. I’m very happy with the squad of players that we’ve got.”

The full interview is on Dale PlayerHD.
