Manager Keith Hill looks ahead to Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy second round tie against Chesterfield at the Crown Oil Arena…
“It’s a competition we’re taking seriously. It’s another game and another opportunity.
“It’s also an opportunity to play players who haven’t played that much, and we want the same type of performances from those players as the performances we’ve been getting on a regular basis from the players who have been playing regularly.
“It’s really important that every aspect of what we do is mirrored by every person in the squad. We have to play with an intensity, we have to play with a commitment, we have to play with an energy and we want an intelligence as well.
“Over the weekend, I’ve listened to what’s being said about how Leicester are not running the distances that they were last season, and they wonder why they’re being less successful.
“If you’re not running the distances that you were when you were successful then it’s quite obvious that you’re going to be less successful.
“We’ve got make sure that we run every ounce of our body out on that pitch, so regardless of the result, if my players are doing that, then they’re representing the football club and our ethos.”
