Dale’s under 18 side start league campaign with a comfortable 4-1 win…
The Youth Team came from behind to record a comfortable victory over Wrexham on the opening day of their North West Youth Alliance campaign.
Rochdale went a goal behind just five minutes into the game after conceding from a corner, but the side responded to hit four past the hosts.
Dale were back on level terms just six minutes after Wrexham had opened the scoring, with Neil Kuemo making a run to the back post to poke home a Jordan Prescott ball across the face of goal.
Shortly after the half hour mark, Matty Gillam put Rochdale ahead as he netted from the edge of the area after charging up the centre of the pitch.
Andy Hollins struck from a corner to extend Dale’s lead, before Gillam grabbed his second of the day. The forward once again finished from distance, this time placing his strike into the bottom corner of the net.
