Keith Hill: We're Really Excited About The Future

5 August 2016

On the eve of the 2016-17 campaign, Manager Keith Hill has told Dale PlayerHD that he’s looking forward to the season ahead.

Rochdale welcome Peterborough United to the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday for the season opener, and Hill says his side go into the match in good spirits.

“I’m looking forward to the Peterborough game and beyond.

“We’ve kicked-off our campaign with what I consider to have been a very good pre-season. We’ve come out of pre-season with relatively few injuries and we’re in good spirits.

“We’re also in good form and really excited about the future. I do believe that we’ve got a good team and a good squad of players of 18, and I think they’ll represent the club well this season.”

It’s the third consecutive season that Dale host Posh on the opening day and Hill is expecting a good game.

“It’s going to be a good game because we’re playing against good opposition.

“They’re a club with massive ambition. They do things correctly with recruitment and the recycling of players and they’ve got a good management structure, but beyond that, they’re just an opposition.”
