Petrus Sleep Out At Spotland This Friday

20 April 2016

A fundraising event hosted by Petrus in support of the Mayor's Charity...

Spotland Stadium will play host to the Petrus Sleep Out 2016.

Taking place this Friday (April 22nd), the event will see around 30 volunteers sleeping out under the stars to highlight the plight of those who have no other option but to sleep rough.

The #SleepOut is a fundraising event and aims to raise money for vulnerable people in the borough of Rochdale and help provide frontline services for women and men in housing need. It is supported by the Mayor's charity.

The Petrus Community is a registered charity providing residential and day support services for people in housing need throughout the Borough of Rochdale (including Heywood and Middleton), Rossendale and Oldham. Petrus believes people should have access to safe, secure, quality housing.

They exist to support a wide range of people in housing need and develop their skills, independence and choice. They have a strong commitment to actively involving the people who use their services in shaping how we work.

Last year's successful event raised over £4000 and they want to exceed that this year.

You can find out more information on how you can support the event or make a donation by using the #SleepOut on Twitter and Facebook or visiting their BT
