6-3-1 Project Kit Design Competition: The Winners Are…

30 April 2016

6-3-1 Project winners revealed...

Rochdale Football Club can reveal that the winners of Dale’s 2016-17 kit design competition are:

Congratulations to the winners, Mark Whitworth (home) and Hollie McElroy (away), whose kit designs have proved the most popular in the fans’ vote.

The new kits, supplied by Errea, are on sale now. These are currently only available in adult sizes, with junior kits arriving at a later date. Adult shirts are priced at £40.

Embraced by Team Rochdale, the 6-3-1 project, which started back in September, received over 300 entries, with fans of all ages and from all over the world getting involved. The youngest entrant was aged just 4 years old, while the oldest entrant was aged 75.

A panel of judges from the club, including the Directors, players, Errea and the Dale Supporters Trust, met then whittle the 300 designs down to shortlist of six home and six away kits. Supporters then had the opportunity to vote for three finalists from those six.

After the fans' vote in October, the finalists (three home and away kits) went back to the vote and were voted on by supporters in December. The winning designs had been kept under-wraps until today since then.

We’d once again like to say a big thank to everyone who submitted a design and to those who took the time to vote.
