Rochdale’s under 18 side secured back-to-back home wins as they recorded a 2-1 victory over Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The Cod Army took an early lead after opening the scoring from the penalty spot, before Dale levelled the scoring five minutes before the break through Harry Pratt.
A smart tackle midway inside the Fleetwood Town half dispossessed the Cod Army player, releasing the ball to Pratt, who confidently beat his marker on the edge of the area before finishing coolly beyond the out-rushing goalkeeper.
A Japhet Mata goal 12 minutes from time secured the points. In a sweeping move forward, the quick feet of Jack Stewart saw him skip through the Fleetwood Town midfield. He found Mata, who under pressure, finished into the bottom corner of the net.
