Nyal Bell and Billy Hasler-Cregg have joined First Division North side Droylsden FC on a month long loan.
The pair, who signed their first professional contracts this summer, have yet to make an appearance for Dale so far this season.
Manager Keith Hill commented: “I want players to mature - I can’t wait for players to mature in their own time.
“The football environment is harsh and we’re looking for these young men to grow up quickly and accept their responsibilities.
“One thing I do know is that they'll need to have that responsibility at Droylsden. Once they settle down they should become outstanding players for Droylsden.
“The loan is going to be a measure of their character and that’s what we’re trying to build. We’re trying to bring young players, who’ve got a really strong character, into the footballing world.”

We'd like to wish Nyal and Billy the very best of luck during their time out on loan.
