6-3-1 Project: Judges Meet To Shortlist Kit Designs

25 September 2015

We're delighted to announce that we received just under 300 entries for our 2016-17 Season Design the Kit competition!

A panel of judges met on Thursday afternoon to shortlist six home and six away kits to be voted on by you, the supporters, in the next round of voting, commencing on Monday (September 28th).

The judging panel included players Jamie Allen and Calvin Andrew, Directors David Bottomley and Paul Hazlehurst, Chief Executive Colin Garlick, Retail Manager Stuart Ashworth, Jack the Kitman, Murray Knight and Martin Ashworth from the Dale Supporters Trust, and Fabrizio Taddei and Graham Fordy from Errea, who flew in specially from Italy to join the panel!

The judges were blown away by the quality and quantity of entries and we would like to thank everybody who took the time to enter the competition.

Colin Garlick, Dale Chief Executive, said: “The number of entries that we received has been incredible. We received entries from all ages with the youngest entrant being just three right up to somebody in their seventies. We are delighted with the response and we have tried to ensure that all aspects of the club and supporters are involved throughout.”

The final 12 designs are now being graphically produced by Errea and these will be available to view on our website from Monday.

You will be able to vote for your favourite design either in our Club Shop or by emailing stuart.ashworth@rochdaleafc.co.uk All twelve designs will also be displayed in next week’s Rochdale Observer with a cut out voting slip which can be handed into the Club Shop.

Voting will close at 5pm on Monday 05 October.

Once the votes have been counted, a sample of the top three home and away kits will then be manufactured by Errea. We are expecting these to be ready around the end of November and these will then be displayed in our Club Shop for you to view and place your final vote.

The winning home and away kit will then be kept under wraps until it is revealed at the end of the season!

You can watch the judging panel in action on Granada Tonight this evening at 6pm on ITV.
